lee This past Friday, the 29th, Lee Conn and Brian Case from Motus stopped by Bumpus Harley Davidson in Murfreesboro to let people come out and meet them and see the bikes. This stop was the second to last on the first leg of what they are calling their American V4 Sport Tour. During these "tours" Lee and Brian are riding the new Motus ST prototypes across the country for a combination of testing, public relations, and from the looks on their faces, a lot of fun. I was able to get a few minutes with Lee while at Bumpus that evening and you can see the interview below.

Mr. Conn talks to us about his boutique bike which meets us head-on with all of those things we like as sport tourists... it really sounds good. I wonder, if he were to compare his creation to any of those timepieces, which would he compare it to? I think if Mr. Conn wants to go the way of the Rolex, which no doubt he and his team are eager to emulate, (a maker which he does not mention, btw) he must first find that which truly is motorcycle perfection--Good Luck to him. On the other hand, if he and his colleagues really want to make Motus a household name and an American Legend, He should explore those things which made Casio and Timex profitable...reliability, affordability, and, availability...he'll then get much closer to the traits we biker's really want, and he will understand that exclusivity will have little bearing on the success of Motus. He should take a look at Confederate Cycles and learn-up.

Quoting Crazy Uncle Johnny:
I thought I heard him say they priced it out of Marc's price range so he couldn't have one....
Can you confirm that?

Yes, after our interview he said he'd heard about Marc and his persona non-grata status where high end motorcycle machinery is concerned. :)
