Straight from YouTube comes an excellent quality video highlighting three very cool motorcycling technologies. First, the footage is shot from a rider on the 2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R which is still pretty fresh tech in sportbikes with it's traction control and power output (gunning for BMW's S1000 RR no doubt). The tires themselves are also the latest from Bridgestone for racing, the R10, and are being tested on this run by endurance racerTim Rhotig as he makes a lap around the 'Ring. The camera itself is the third bit of "cool" tech being demonstrated here. The camera is a gyro stabilized unit that is about the size of a small shoe box and maintains it's level capture whilst Tim tosses the ZX-10 around like a rag doll. Sit down for a few minutes and take it all in. It's worth the time. |
